We serve nutritious weekday lunches at multiple locations across the Sioux Empire, where adults can enjoy a balanced meal and friendly conversation at an affordable cost.

Whether you choose to dine at one of our Active Generations locations or one of our partner senior centers around the Sioux Empire, you can always expect:

Eligibility and Cost

Our dining program is open to everyone:

Adults 60 and older are invited to contribute what they can, with a suggested contribution of $5.25
Guests under 60 may participate for a set meal fee of $10

Meals are supported in part by the National Senior Nutrition Program, along with funding from the State of South Dakota and the federal government. This support helps us offer meals at a reduced cost for older adults.

For guests 60 and older, a NAPIS form is required once per year in order to receive the reduced meal cost. If a form is not on file, we are required to charge the full meal cost of $10.

Additional Dining Options

For those who cannot make it to a traditional congregate dining site, Active Generations also partners with regional cafes and Sioux Falls Hy-Vee stores to ensure a nutritious meal is always close by.

Flex Dining

These locations offer flexible dining hours during their standard business operations and daily specials and menu items that qualify for our Nutrition Program.

Hy-Vee Punch Cards

Sioux Falls Hy-Vee locations offer punch cards for a balanced meal. These cards must be purchased at an Active Generations location. The 2026 card includes 20 meal punches.

Stop by an Active Generations location to purchase meal tickets.

Complete a short, confidential National Aging Program Information System (NAPIS) form.

Make a suggested contribution to activate your meal card.
