What Is SHIINE?

SHIINE (Senior Health Information and Insurance Education) is a federally funded program designed to help Medicare beneficiaries and their families better understand their options. Active Generations serves as the regional program provider for Southeastern South Dakota.

Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment is available right here at Active Generations. In-person appointments are available, and phone appointments can also be scheduled for your convenience.

Each year, Medicare open enrollment runs from October 15 through December 7. During this time, you can review and make changes to your coverage for the upcoming year.

An additional Medicare Advantage open enrollment starts January 1 through March 31. During this time, you can change to a different advantage plan, or switch back to original Medicare with a drug plan.

Our team is available to help you evaluate your options and ensure your plan continues to meet your needs.
