Meal Program

Dine with us!

Sharing a meal is one of the most time-honored ways of connecting with others, and we’d love for you to join us. We serve hot meals daily at both locations. Check out what’s on the menu today!

For more information, contact:
Nutrition Director, Rebecca Behnke at (605) 333-3304 or [email protected]

Eligibility

You do NOT need to be a member of Active Generations to dine with us!

Anyone 60 years of age or over, as well as their spouse or dependent adult who resides at home with the participant are eligible for the nutrition program. Persons under 60 years of age may participate at full cost of the meal or by calling the Department of Social Services at 605-367-5444 or the toll free number of Dakota at Home at 1-833-663-9673.

Funding for Senior Meals is a joint effort between federal and state governments, community support and participant donations.

Your generous donations to Active Generations’ Nutrition Program are what make this program work for you and your community. No one over the age of 60, that has filled out a NAPIS form will be turned away even if they are unable to contribute to the cost of the service . Please remember that the amounts listed below are suggested donation amounts and that we encourage guests to contribute what they feel is appropriate. The suggested donation is based on household income.

Persons over the age of 60 are asked to contribute as much as they feel they can afford towards the cost of the meal.

  • Full Cost of the Meal is $10.00 (for those under the age of 60)
  • Suggested Donation is $5.25

How to sign up:

Meal tickets are available for purchase at Active Generations. Each individual needs to fill out a short National Aging Program Information System form. Your information is kept confidential. A suggested donation is necessary to activate your card.

Your meal is sponsored in part by the National Senior Nutrition Project. We can offer your meals for a donation because the State of South Dakota and the Federal Government reimburse us for part of the cost. If you are 60 or over and wish to dine, for a donation, the Federal Government requires that we have a NAPIS form filled out by you and returned to us one time per year. Your information is kept confidential. If you do not have a NAPIS form on file with us, we have no choice but to charge you the full cost of the meal, which is $10.00. If you have not yet completed your NAPIS form, please visit Active Generations Information Window, or by calling Samantha or Beth at 605-333-3305 for a NAPIS form and assistance. Thank you for your cooperation.
