RISE Women’s Program Offers a New Approach to Early Cognitive Wellness
Each morning includes opportunities for socialization, light fitness activities, lifelong learning, discussion, creativity, and purposeful engagement. The program is designed to help participants maintain physical strength and cognitive wellness while building friendships and routines that support overall well-being.
The launch of RISE is made possible through support from the Alzheimer’s Association Center for Dementia Respite Innovation (CDRI). Active Generations was one of 34 organizations nationwide selected to expand person-centered respite care and address growing community needs.
“Caring for a loved one with early cognitive changes is a journey that requires a community,” said Betsy Schuster, President and CEO of Active Generations. “RISE gives women a place to stay active and connected while providing caregivers with the reliable break they need to recharge.”
For more than four decades, Active Generations has provided specialized support for individuals experiencing cognitive challenges and the caregivers who support them. The RISE Women’s Program builds on that legacy by offering a new option for women seeking early cognitive wellness support in a welcoming community setting.
