Rake The Town Has Returned!
This fall, Active Generations is once again bringing neighbors together through Rake the Town, a volunteer-driven event taking place Oct. 31 through Nov. 6. The annual program helps older adults and individuals with disabilities prepare their yards for winter by connecting them with volunteers willing to lend a helping hand.
Rake the Town serves adults age 60 and older who need assistance with yard work, as well as individuals under 60 with a documented disability in Sioux Falls, Brandon, and surrounding communities.
Volunteers spend the week raking leaves, bagging them, and helping haul them away. Whether participating as an individual, family, business, church group, or community organization, volunteers make a meaningful impact while helping neighbors stay safe and independent in their homes.
By dedicating just a few hours, community members can make a visible difference and help ensure local households are ready for the winter season.
Help make our community stronger this fall.
