Balance Class: Main & East

Falls are common among older adults, often leading to physical injury and psychological trauma. At the national level, falls among the elderly also lead to high rates of morbidity and mortality. Falls are the leading cause of injury death among adults 65 years of age or older. As gloomy as these statistics might appear at first glance, the good news is that many falls are potentially preventable. Active Generations offers a balance class that will last for 6 weeks, and we will focus on exercises for the lower body and exercises to increase good posture and overall mobility.

Register for this class at the Active Generations Information Desk.

Body Sculpting: Main

Our Body Sculpting class offers a total body workout. Starting with a warm-up, proceeding to some cardiovascular conditioning, and then to floor mats where we work our legs, hips, and abs. We concentrate on toning and firming muscles with small hand weights as well as the mat and chair exercises. We end with stretching techniques for a full hour of fitness fun.

You must be able to get up and down from the floor. Medical history and physician release forms are required. Register for this class at the Active Generations’ front desk.

Get Active
