Christmas at the Capital with Active Generations
Dec 1 @ 8:00 am – 10:00 pm

Travel on a comfortable motor coach with your Active Generations friends to see our state capitol at the most beautiful time of the year.  We’ll drive to Pierre for a day planned to put you in a holiday mood.  Including the Capitol Trees, the South Dakota Cultural Heritage Center and a “Christmas Tradition Concert with a Cowboy Twist.”  Put this trip on your Holiday list this year!

The first stop will be the Capitol Christmas Trees.  What started in 1981 with 12 trees has become nearly 100 finely decorated trees that fill the capitol rotunda and three floors of historic hallways.  Plenty of time to view the trees and take lots of photos before heading for lunch.  Lunch will be at the delightful Red Rossa Italian Grille for lunch (see meal choices below)

Next, a stop at the Cultural Heritage Center, which is built on the side of a hill with much of it underground.  It is a contemporary version of a traditional Native American dwelling.  The Center has a fabulous selection of artifacts representing the development of South Dakota from its beginning in history up to the 20th Century.

Active Generations is lucky to have secured tickets to a great Christmas show in Pierre at the Riggs Theater.  Entertainers from around the country will be performing only one show and you will be there!

Choose one of the following meal choices at registration:  Chicken Bacon Spinach Panini, Pastrami Reuben Sandwich, Chicken Alfredo Fettuccine.  The meal includes soup or salad, choice of entrees, beverage, and gratuity.
